1.1 Gift Card Redemption & Exclusions

(a) Redemption: Except for the exclusions listed in paragraph (b), once purchased with your selected value, your Gift Card may be redeemed for purchases online at www.hippoblue.com.au

(b) Exclusions: A Gift Card cannot be used to purchase Gift Cards on our website.

1.2 Online Gift Card Purchases

(a) Gift Cards can be purchased from www.hippoblue.com.au.

(b) You may pay for your Gift Card value with any of the payment options provided by Hippo Blue. Payment using a Gift Card to purchase a Gift Card is not accepted.

(c) Coupon codes may not be used to purchase Gift Cards at discounted cost.

(d) Gift Cards purchased alone do not require shipping, therefore there is no shipping cost applied. If they are combined with products that do require shipping you will be charged a shipping fee. Please refer to our shipping policy.

(e) Your Gift Card will be emailed to the email address entered at checkout.   

(f) Your Gift Card will be activated for use on the same day as purchase and will be valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase.

(g) The transaction will be completed once the email containing the Gift Card is received.

1.3 Using Your Gift Card

(a) Your Gift Card may only be used to make purchases via www.hippoblue.com.au

(b) Your Gift Card may only be used to make purchases up to the value as issued on your Gift Card by Hippo Blue. If you wish to make a purchase for an amount that exceeds the value of the Gift Card, you will be required to pay the excess using another payment method.

(c) Your Gift Card is valid for one single transaction and must be used in whole. This may not be used to make multiple transactions. You accept that any remaining value on the Gift Card during the transaction will be void and will not be valid for use once this transaction has been completed.

(d) Your Gift Card may not be used in conjunction with any offer on our website which requires a coupon code to redeem, or in the event a coupon code has been issued to you previously as a form of store credit.

(e) To redeem a Gift Card on the website, at the point of checkout enter the Gift Card’s unique code to ‘Gift card or discount code’ field and select Apply.

1.4 Returning a product purchased with a Gift Card

Goods that are purchased solely, or in part with a Gift Card may only be returned if the item/s is deemed faulty in accordance with our Returns Policy. Please refer to our trading Terms and Conditions.

1.5 No Cash Advances

Gift Cards are not a legal tender, account cards, credit, or debit cards. You may not obtain a cash advance with your Gift Card or redeem your Gift Card for cash. Please refer to Section 1.3 on how your Gift Card may be used.

1.6 Expiry, cancellation, and re-issue of Gift Card

Your Gift Card will be valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase. No extensions will be issued for Gift Cards that have expired. We reserve the right to correct the balance of your Gift Card if we believe that a clerical or accounting error has occurred.

1.7 Lost or Stolen Gift Cards

We accept no liability for an error in the email address provided to us for the recipient of the Gift Card at time of purchase which results in loss or theft. We assume no liability for the loss, theft or illegibility of a Gift Card. We accept no liability for loss of the email containing the Gift Card. This Gift Card is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. In the event of fraud, an attempt at deception or suspicion of other illegal activities in connection with the redemption of Gift Cards on our website, we are entitled to close your account and/ or require a different means of payment for your transaction.

1.8 Refund of Gift Card

Your Gift Card is non-refundable and in finalising your purchase you acknowledge that no refund will be honoured in the event of loss or theft as stated in 1.7.
